  • Median cash bonus received in 2012 was $42,000, and expected median cash bonus for 2013 is $30,000.The percentage receiving a cash bonus decreased to 49% from 61% in the 2009 survey.
  • Average retainer vs. project-based work for both 2011 and 2012 was approximately 60/40.
  • IR counselors are optimistic about 2013, with a large majority (73%) expecting their IR-related revenue to grow compared with 2012.
  • 37% of respondents had a cash bonus range of 0-25% of their current base salary; for 17% the cash bonus range was 51-75%.
